Today was Mad Scientist Day!!!! We started out our hot morning by heading to the pavilion where we listened to our counselor Maddie read us Bartholomew and the Oobleck, by Dr. Seuss. After reading the book, we made oobleck!!! It was sticky, ooey, gooey, yet really fun! Following our oobleck activity we then became science, adventure detectives. We used jumbo magnifying glasses to explore the grounds here at Pilgrim Day Camp. The children really got to get in inside look on nature. We then talked about our observations and described the coolest thing we saw! We are extremely excited for this afternoon and are looking forward to our Double Swim and popsicles!!! They will be great on the very hot day to help us cool down. The kind moment of the day was when Olivia and Delilah organized a group game of Duck-Duck-Goose!! Thank you Olivia and Delilah it was super fun!!! Also another super shoutout to Juniper for doing a fabulous job in swim lessons this morning!!! Yeah Juniper! Tomorrow we have a cookout day, so remember to not bring a lunch because we will have hotdogs, hamburgers, salad, chips, and make your own ice cream sundaes! We will also be having a competitive camp competition…Red, White, and Blue day style so bring out your spirit. There also seems to be a little rain in the forecast so dress appropriately.
