The Indoor Playground will be open the first week of October. In the meantime we are still providing playgroups, drop off classes, and birthday parties!

Welcome to The Barnyard Playard- Framingham’s only Indoor and Outdoor playground! We specialize in fun and we’re open from November-May! We have awesome indoor activities and also amazing outdoor playgrounds, farm animals, and pedal bikes. We’re open Monday-Satuday 9:30-12:30 and we also offer private rentals and birthday parties! Dear Pilgrim Day Camp Community,
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of former Pilgrim Day Camp Director Richard “Dick” Otte. Dick was not only a beloved leader but also one of the foundational figures who helped shape the PDC you all know and love today.
It was at Pilgrim where Dick met the love of his life, June Larsson. Soon after, they were married, and Dick began his teaching career in the Brockton schools. Summers, however, were dedicated to Pilgrim Day Camp, where Dick served as Director, leaving a lasting impact on generations of campers and staff.
In 1975, I was fortunate enough to meet June as we attended college together. It was through her that I met Dick, who hired me as the Athletic Director at PDC. I later became his Assistant Director, and for the next six years, Dick and I forged an inseparable friendship. I learned so much from him as the camp grew and evolved under his leadership. Dick and June have two wonderful sons, Ben and Jared, of whom they are immensely proud. Both Ben and Jared loved Pilgrim, first as enthusiastic campers and later as leaders, following in their parents’ footsteps. This summer, it brought me great joy to see Dick’s grandchildren Colby, Bayla, Micah, and Tristan enjoying PDC—a legacy that began with their grandparents so many years ago.
We’re fortunate to have Dick’s written evaluations and annual reports from his years as Director. His words from 1977 still resonate today, a testament to his timeless vision for camp. We will cherish his memory and the immense contribution he made to Pilgrim Day Camp.

Teacher Led Barnyard Playgroups!
Barnyard Adventure Playgroups encourage an early introduction to nature and agriculture. Children under the age of five will be introduced to goats, rabbits, and chickens while parents or caregivers are close by. Our outdoor areas will provide opportunities for exploration and learning about the natural world around them. Children and their adults should dress for the weather and to get dirty.
Our amazing teacher Courtney will run playgroups on Monday’s and Thursday’s.
9:30-10:30 and 11:00-12:00 (choose the time that works best for your family!)
$20 per child/parent
She’ll lead the playgroups in:
- Storytime
- Singing songs
- Animal Snuggles
- Nature Based Exploration & Play
When your playgroup ends, you can stay at the Barnyard Playard until closing time for no additional fee! Sign up below using our Calendly calendar and pay when you arrive!
Baby Corner
A dedicated space for your babies not ready to crawl or walk. An easy gate to get in and out for parents.
Ride on Toys
We have a huge space in the front for ride on toys!
Climbing Structures
Climbing and jumping structures.
Toddler Area
An area for crawlers and new walkers to get their feet under them!
Barnyard Playard
A HUGE lofted converted barn that is spacious and fun for everyone.

The Barnyard Playard indoor playground is best for kids around 8 and younger; however the outdoor playground is great for everyone!

What to Expect
Our indoor playground is different than a lot of indoor spots in the area. We want our kids to have fun, but we also want the parents, guardians, babysitters, grandparents etc to be able to sit have a coffee and relax as well. We will have a free coffee bar , free WIFI, and spaces to sit around the indoor playground so that you can possibly get some time to answer those e-mails or work while your kids stay busy.
Outdoor Playground
Not only will we have our Indoor playground, but we will also have opportunities for outdoor fun as well! We will have barnyard animals, slip and slides, and outdoor slides, power cars, and little bikes for when the weather is nice! It’s all just $12 to experience the inside or outside activities.
Private play
You can reserve the barn to yourself and for your friends for an hour for $100. We’ll be posting our calendar with available times and dates!
Start Date
We’ll be hosting an open house during our fall festival on October 15, 2023!
Classes
We plan on hosting free classes like baby yoga, reading time, music and more! We also will be providing paid weekly classes like barnyard animal time and more! Are you interested in providing classes at our center? Send us an e-mail and we would love to work with you!

So many parents ask if we could provide birthday parties and events at PDC and now we can when the Indoor Playground opens.
